The start of the full-scale invasion and the constant threat of shelling in Kyiv have necessitated adjustments to the educational process. To ensure the safety of our students, we have set up several shelters in the basements on the grounds of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
Our position is that, despite all the threats, classes for groups should continue during an air raid alert. Therefore, the shelters have been equipped with classrooms where the educational process can continue in reasonable comfort.
Regarding air raid alerts, we follow these rules:
· If the alert begins before class starts, the class begins immediately in the shelter.
· If you have already left and are on your way, we will be waiting for you in the shelter on the grounds of the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
· If you are not yet on your way to us, we recommend that you stay safe and join us online.
· If an instructor cannot come to the school and there is no technical ability to connect online, classes will be rescheduled for another day or time.
· If it is not possible to hold them during the module dates, we will reschedule them either for another day online or for another module.
· If an alarm goes off during a class on the 4th floor of kmbs, we will pause the class, move the entire group to a shelter, and continue the class safely. Once the alarm ends, we will return to the 4th floor and resume the class.
