Project lifecycle and management processes. Key stakeholders. What value do we create? How can we use donor requirements to benefit the project?
Why do we need projects? The role of a project in organizational development. A systematic view of the project and its elements. Project initiation.
Establishing the grant fundraising and management function in a non-profit organization.
Day 2

Engaging project stakeholders. Who are stakeholders and why are they important? Stakeholder identification and analysis. How to communicate effectively with challenging stakeholders?
Project planning considering scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
Scope, schedule, and budget planning. Practical exercise: “Creating a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for the project.”
What is a project team? Healthy team interactions: differences, key traits, and rules.
Day 3

The role of a project manager: defining my management approach. Who am I as a project manager now? Who do I want to become?
The intersection of fundraising, grant coordination, and project management in grant-funded non-profit organizations. Systems and policies. How to implement donor requirements while maintaining the organization’s strategic focus?
Prioritization and project risk management. Group exercise: Identifying risks and mitigation strategies.
Project management, monitoring, and control. Methods for optimizing project timelines.
Project closure and lessons learned for the organization.
