Deputy dean kmbs Eduard Maltsev and Project coordinator Vladlen Sysun told the participants about how the Project originated and developed, its tasks and stages, and the opportunities it opens up for leaders of business associations (BO).

The UNDP project "Strengthening member business associations of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in Ukraine" was created in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and with the support of Switzerland. This Project aims to accelerate the MSME sector's development by strengthening member business associations' potential.

Eduard Maltsev said that micro, small and medium-sized enterprises provide work for more than 4 million people in Ukraine. Member BOs are essential components of the business support infrastructure. Therefore, by developing them, the state produces business. Mr. Eduard talked about the logic of the program, in particular about its levels and educational content, and also shared how the war affected the Project. Despite the obligatory stop at two places, already in May, the program resumed and reached a new level thanks to the addition of team and individual coaching and facilitation. Thanks to these tools, strategizing has become much more productive and of higher quality.

And Mr. Vladlen shared how the overarching task of the program was formed — the impact on the development of the sector of micro, small and medium enterprises through the development of leaders of BO. He also said that many donor organizations are now "switching on" powerful support for business associations. Therefore, the speaker called on the participants of the meeting to take the experience of the UNDP Project and create similar programs for volunteer organizations and BOs.
