Alexey Geraschenko won the championship held on the Greek island of Kos.

The tournament was organized by the Amateur Chess Organization (ACO), an independent international chess organization with a mission to promote chess and support amateur players worldwide. 

This year, the competition attracted 119 participants from the USA, Canada, Germany, France, Switzerland, and other countries.
