kmbs Book Club: Discussion of the Book "Diplomatic Cuisine of Wartime"

In this text, together with Dmytro Kuleba and Bohdana Neborak, a journalist and editor of interviews for The Ukrainians, we discuss the book Diplomatic Cuisine of Wartime. This is an essay-style publication in which wartime events are revealed simultaneously through both political and culinary lenses. Its authors are diplomat and former Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba and Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi, a chef and co-founder of Lucky restaurants. We explore the book’s format and concept, the role of business in diplomacy, the formation of cultural subjectivity, and Ukraine’s self-presentation.
