The apocalypse can be stopped – at least the economical one. The future may be different – with access to education, overcoming poverty, protecting migrants and resolutions of climate problems. Convinced of this, Abhijit Banerjee and Esther Duflo wrote a book, Good Economics for Hard Times. They have been researching how to balance the economy and fight poverty since 2003, and in 2019 received the Nobel Prize for it.
The compiler of the book – Oleksii Herashchenko (investor, kmbs adjunct professor) will discuss with the virtual currencies and blockchain technology expert Stanyslav Podyachev (kmbs visiting professor) and political scientist Valentyn Hladkykh issues on which the future of the economy and the world depends: trade, climate, migration, taxes, subsidies, unconditional basic income, education, the price of economic growth.
