Open kmbs liveOn October 5, the name of the 2022 Vasyl Stus Prize laureate will be announced.
The organizers of the Vasyl Stus Prize — Ukrainian PEN, Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, and "Duh i Litera" publishing house — will announce the name of the laureate on October 5.
The award ceremony will start at 17:00 in Kyiv. It will be broadcast online on the Facebook pages of PEN Ukraine, Kyiv-Mohyla Business School [kmbs], and Espresso, as well as on the Youtube channels of PEN Ukraine and Espresso.
The Vasyl Stus Prize is awarded annually to writers, artists, directors, musicians, cultural managers, and public figures for contributing to Ukrainian culture and citizenship sustainability.
Last year, the laureate was Taras Voznyak, a cultural scientist, political scientist, and founder of the Independent Cultural Journal "Y," general director of the Lviv National Art Gallery named after B. Voznytskyi.

The winner of the Vasyl Stus Prize will receive a monetary award and a statuette designed by designer Dmytro Pokrasyon and sculptor Stanislav Kadochnikov.
The Vasyl Stus Award is one of the oldest Ukrainian awards in the field of culture. In 1989, it was founded by the Ukrainian Association of Independent Creative Intelligentsia, headed by Yevhen Sverstyuk. Since 2016, the Ukrainian PEN, the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, and the publishing house "Spirit and Litera" have continued this initiative.
In different years, Opanas Zalivakha, Mykhailyna Kotsiubynska, Vasyl Ovsienko, Ivan Svitlichnyi, Myroslav Marynovych, Yevhen Zakharov, Volodymyr Vyatrovych, Maria Burmaka, Sashko Polozhynskyi, Svyatoslav Vakarchuk, Taras Kompanichenko, Sisters Telnyuk, Oleksandra Koval, Serhiy Zhadan, Boris Gudziak, Vlad Troitsky, Akhtem Seitablaev, and Taras Wozniak.
