kmbs maintains and cultivates a culture of sustainability in the development of our member companies. It is not uncommon for such sustainability to be ensured by the "family" of the business, namely the inclusion of several generations of the family in the creation and development of their own business. In Ukraine, we have a large number of such examples, so to draw public attention to this phenomenon, the Association of Owners of Family Companies of Ukrain,e in partnership with Deloitte in Ukraine and IdeasFirst for the third time, initiated the Family Business Awards Ukraine 2021 — "Best Family Business of the Year”.

The competition runs from August 30 to November 26. The award ceremony will take place on December 4. Every year more than 30 successful family businesses of the country take part in the competition.

Participants will compete for the prize "Best Family Business" in three categories: large, medium and small business.

Within the Family Business Awards 2021, the nomination “Best Family Business of the Year” will select three companies and two more companies to be awarded special prizes from the event partners — the "SuperNova" prize from Deloitte in Ukraine and "Harmonious integration of the next generation into the family business” from IdeasFirst.

What will your company get from participating in the competition?

participation in the award ceremony (two people from the family);
acquaintance and networking with companies - members of "FBN Ukraine";
annual subscription to the quarterly magazine "Family Business";
communication of the winners of the competition within the campaign to promote the contest in Ukraine.

Criteria that determine the possibility of applying for participation in the competition:

number of employees in the family business — more than 70 people;
the family business has been operating for at least five years;
equity of the family business (difference between assets and liabilities) not less than $ 1 million as of 31.12.2020;
the company operates in Ukraine.

How to take part in the competition?

To participate in the Family Business Awards Ukraine 2021 — "The best family business of the year," you need to fill out an application form by October 25, 2021. The application is free.
