Thanks to Ronald Inglehart's legacy, we have the tools to regularly measure and compare values in different countries, at different times (World Values Survey, European Social Survey, Eurobarometer, etc.).
In the end, it became clear that we are always talking about biaxial cultural dimensions, in which secular-rational values are opposed to traditional ones, and the values of self-expression are opposed to the values of survival.
Values evolve, change, values migrate. A priori we can easily determine who in what situation in what paradigm thinks of himself - at the level of daily practices. But when it comes to communities and society, it will not be so easy to reveal the symbolic advantage of a certain axis of values.
Understand what is important to us. To formulate what is important for the person with whom we cooperate, and therefore to understand the person in the role in which he now interacts with us. It is unlikely that the context for these processes will be more adequate than the ability to distinguish between "good", "desirable" and "worthy" and the willingness to respond to the situation, guided by shared values.
