Why do some business models, brands, and institutions remain influential for decades while others do not? This autumn, we invite MBA graduates of kmbs to England to better understand the environment in which they have developed.
Over the course of five days, we will visit London, Cambridge, and Kent — cities that combine strong institutions, entrepreneurship, academic tradition, and cultural context.
In the program:
London — a global center of influence. Participants will visit:
- Embassy of Ukraine to the UK and Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain – discussing the role and influence of Ukrainian institutions abroad and the life of the Ukrainian diaspora;
- London Stock Exchange – exploring the operations of one of the world's most influential financial exchanges;
- Greater London Authority – understanding the strategic management of London;
- Kashket & Partners – discussing family business, trust, and reputation in dealings with the British royal family;
- City of London – learning about the financial ecosystem and the concentration of global financial flows;
- Burberry – examining the transformation of a British heritage brand;
- Chatham House – understanding the shaping of the international policy agenda and global security;
- A meeting at a Ukrainian restaurant and a discussion about the development of the restaurant business in Britain;
- YDF Interiors – insights into Ukrainian business in the luxury interior design segment in central London;
- Networking evening at a private members’ club – exploring the historically established institution of elite networking and meeting local Ukrainian entrepreneurs;
- An evening at a West End show – a unique cultural experience;
- Guided City Tour and dinner at a pub.
Cambridge – a global center of intellectual capital and technological entrepreneurship:
- University of Cambridge – one of the world's strongest universities as a business ecosystem;
- Cambridge Judge Business School – business education, fostering entrepreneurial thinking, and networking;
- Cambridge Science Park – one of the most successful science and technology zones in Europe;
- Punting – boating as one of the most famous local traditions.
Kent – the South of England reimagining itself:
- Wineries of Southern England and exploration of the business model of the "new English wine industry";
- Farewell Dinner and final reflection by the sea.
